Portášky mountain lodge, Pec pod Sněžkou

The lodge has been built above Velká Úpa village 1050 metres above see level, and is located on the well-known tourist path from Velká

Úpa to the highest peak of the Czech Republic Sněžka.
The lodge is open all year round and offers its visitors wide range of activities including skiing, hiking and mountain biking, there

are family activities as well as plenty of leisure time for people who come to the mountains just to rest and relax.

The lodge offers accommodation up to 90 guestsM at the same time.
All rooms and 2–4 person apartments are newly reconstructed, there are also shared large doormitories for 11 and 13 guests.
There is a bar and a large restaurant open all day as well as eatery which serves 50 people.
For the little ones up to 6 years old there is a play room where children can play with their parents or on their own. The restaurant is equipped with a Juke box for dance and entertainment.
There is a large common entertainment room on the first floor where up to 50 guests can watch television, video, play

table tennis, table soccer and other games.

The restaurant offers wide range of Czech and Italian cousine.
The guests can select a half-board, fullboard or a la carte dining.
There is a range of special diets available on request.
The bar offers wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including mixed drinks.

Winter Activities:
The lodge and its location offers their guests a selection of activities including skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and

hiking.
In the evenings guests are invited to join the entertainment room with all its activities and games, have a drink in the bar or take advantage of the sauna with indoor pool.
There are three ski lifts 1000, 450 and 250 metres located really close to the lodge. Immediately next lodge is end station of ski lift.
There is a 1750 m long ski slope for the more experienced skiers from lodge to down station of chair lift.
Aproximately 50 metres down from lodge is the shortest ski lift, with snowboard park fascility open for the enjoyment of all

snowboardists, which guarnatees high security for them and other skiers.
There is a ski school available for children and beginners.
For the more experienced cross-country skier there is a difficult path to Růžová Hora (Pink mountain) and the bottom of Sněžka about 5

km long, the less difficult tourist path around Pěnkavcí Vrch(Finch hill) is about 4,5 km long.

Summer Activities:
Krkonoše National Park and Portášky lodge offer plenty of summer activities ranging from walking and hiking in the beautiful nature,

mountain biking, paragliding, darts, billiard to sauna, indoor swimming, BBQ, garden parties, playground and more.
Taking advantage of the mountain air this high above see level for prolonged periods of time is known to bring relief to people with

pylon allergies.
There are various day trips offered to smaller groups and families offered by own offroad (7 p. + driver).

How to get there:
There is a regular bus service from Prague, the bus stop and a car park are located at the bottom of a chair lift from Velká Úpa to

Portášky. In summer it is possible to park directly next to the lodge. In winter the chair lift is used for transportanion from the

call bus park to the lodge, there are snowcat, snow scooter and offroad cars that carry luggage. And a taxi services is in place also.
